Comics!

Phew! You guys, drawing comics takes a WHILE... I thought I would be able to bash this out in a week or two once I really sat down and focussed, but guess what? It's a lot of work! My brother Keith wrote the script for it and we both worked together on tightening up the dialogue. I absolutely loved drawing it though, probably more than any other project I've worked on... I know it has a few problems here and there, but overall I'm really proud of it as a first attempt and I'm definitely going to be doing more comics projects. For the time being, probably only short form things of around 7 pages like this, since they take long enough, but who knows? Once I get more confident and ambitious, maybe start upping the page count and see where we go. So yeah, I've been struggling with a way to upload these and not have them all compressed to hell, since that's what blogspot seems to like, so there's thumbnails here, but I'd much rather you looked at it on these links:

 Just a quick update to post what I've been up to lately, mainly these two Avatar sketches. Still battling to get into a regular drawing habit... It's proving tough at the moment.

John Wayne is... Jonah Hex

So here's a poster mock-up of the Jonah Hex movie I would have rather seen instead of that Josh Brolin effort from a while back... It's kind of based on the old style of painted movie posters, which are pretty awesome. Also, I know there's no way this movie would have been made in the 70s with this kind of cast... That's the power of imagination! Also included some high-res details of the various portraits if you're sufficiently curious about them.

Exhumed!

OK! So! It's been a while... I have still been arting, but I have NOT been updating... For a year. About time to remedy that and get back into the habit, I think. Here's a selection of things I've been working on since being away, which include: some studies, a boxing painting, some fake Criterion covers, some life drawing and a digital piece! In the near future you're gonna be seeing some comics work and some posters for films that should have been! A whole cavalcade of fun and excitement! Dare you stay tuned?! Dare you not?!
